Getting to Italy: the Arrival

When we landed in Munich, the airport was huge. We found our gate, which was a shuttle ride/ 19 minutes of walking away. We found passport security and got our passports stamped. We had time to change and freshen up, thankfully. Just as we finished, our plane was called to board. We all boarded a small bus with our luggage. The bus drove to our plane, where we went up the stairs and boarded. It was small and Jocelyn and I did not have seats together. I met my first Italian though! His name was Mario and through his broken English and my broken Italian, he answered many of my questions about Italy and the flight. The views of Ancona from the sky were breathtaking! Landing was bumpy but we made it. The Ancona airport is very small. We took a bus to the airport after landing and waited for our luggage. No one asked for our passport or anything and we were greeted by the friends. They held up hearts that said “Ancona welcomes you! Welcome Maddie and Joyceline!” (They pronounce our names in the cutest way) From there, we went to the grocery store and then to our apartment, where we unpacked.

Ciao! Bonjour! Hello! I'm Maddie. I'm from Ohio, fresh into the adult world and doing as much adventuring as I can! I love puns and jokes, so I'm sorry if some of my posts are too cheesy for you. I tend to embarrass myself on a daily basis, but that means I have some of the best stories. I absolutely LOVE food (but who doesn't?) and I CAN'T WAIT to share my experiences with you :)
