Lost at sea

Writer's picture: MaddieMaddie

I took a picture with this statue before I knew the story. Otherwise my face would have been different. This statue is in memory of the wives of fisherman who waited here for their husbands, who never came back. There is a little child grabbing her leg. Because it was difficult to provide for a family back then, the men would go out to sea even in the most hazardous weather conditions and many of them never came back. A good reminder to appreciate what we have.

Ciao! Bonjour! Hello! I'm Maddie. I'm from Ohio, fresh into the adult world and doing as much adventuring as I can! I love puns and jokes, so I'm sorry if some of my posts are too cheesy for you. I tend to embarrass myself on a daily basis, but that means I have some of the best stories. I absolutely LOVE food (but who doesn't?) and I CAN'T WAIT to share my experiences with you :)
