Getting through security went smoothly. Goodbyes were harder than expected but it won’t be long before we will be back again. I received an especially tight hug from my youngest sister Ariel. I forgot to bring airport snacks and ended up paying $9 for nachos and cheese. But lesson learned lol. Our flight to Chicago was on time; however, we had to wait on the takeoff strip while the plane’s wings were de-iced and the strip was salted. This pushed us back so we knew time would be tight at the Chicago Airport.
