When we got to the Chicago Airport, we found our gate, which was ALL the way on the complete opposite side of where we were. We hauled our luggage with long quick strides and rushed to our gate. As we were nearing where we needed to be, we realized our flight had come early. We heard our names over the loud speaker for a last call boarding. We called out “we’re here!” to the flight attendant who said “Take our your passports and boarding passes quickly!” We did so and went to the plane door, which had already been shut. They let us in and started the take off process. Phew, close call. I may have had to wait a lot longer to use the restroom, but it was worth it because we made our flight.
