Train ride across Taiwan

Writer's picture: MaddieMaddie

Another beautiful day full of adventure! (And sore muscles) I started off with stretching lol because I had to carry two 50 lb suitcases down four flights of stairs! I then took an Uber to Taipei Main Station and bought a train ticket for Kaohsiung- my home for the next few months.

This train ride is just short of five hours. There’s an option for the high speed rail, which is 2.5 hours, but I prefer the scenic route when I’m not in a rush.

While waiting for the train, I was starving. I was walking through the train station and around the building looking for something that sounded good when I saw a JW cart! I went over to meet the friends and they offered to watch my luggage while I went to grab something to eat. They even gave instructions and offered to help me get my bags on the train - unfailing love🥰

I’m now on the train... about half way to Kaohsiung! The weather is sunny and about 70 degrees. Here are some pictures from the trip. Next stop: my apartment!

Ciao! Bonjour! Hello! I'm Maddie. I'm from Ohio, fresh into the adult world and doing as much adventuring as I can! I love puns and jokes, so I'm sorry if some of my posts are too cheesy for you. I tend to embarrass myself on a daily basis, but that means I have some of the best stories. I absolutely LOVE food (but who doesn't?) and I CAN'T WAIT to share my experiences with you :)
